Calibre 101

The 101 collection combines the best traditions of high jewellery making with the craftsmanship and expertise of watchmaking. The Duoplan Calibre model, produced in a manufacture in the Vallée de Joux in Switzerland in 1925, served as the inspiration for the later Calibre 101.

The machine has two tiers - the lower tier houses the featherweight and the basic wheels of the machine, whose axes are brought out to the second tier. The machine therefore does not take up as much space in width.

What you may not have known...

Launched in 1929, the Calibre 101 is still the world's smallest mechanical movement and continues to this day to carry on the Jaeger-LeCoultre legacy of technical mastery. The Calibre 101 measures a tiny 14 mm in length, 4.8 mm in width, is just 3.4 mm thin and weighs barely one gram. For more than 90 years, it has held the title of the smallest mechanical watch movement. The Jaeger-LeCoultre brand has unveiled its two latest jewellery watch models with the calibre 101. They are named Snowdrop and Bangle after their shape.
