The brand has revived its Riviera collection in April 2021. Does it remind you of Gérald Genta's designs? No wonder. The Riviera line is indeed designed by the genius designer who created the Nautilus icon for Patek Philippe and models for Pasha de Cartier. The Riviera line was first launched in 1973 and is now in its fifth generation. The new family includes men’s and ladies’ designs that dazzle with colours and evoke the atmosphere of summer days on the French Riviera.
Typical of the watch are the four distinctive screws on the lunette, the octagonal crown and the integrated steel bracelet or rubber strap, which can be changed quickly and easily. Models are powered by either automatic or quartz movements. The highly precise Baumatic movement with a five-day power reserve is among the highlights of the collection which includes also models with a chronograph and a day and date display.

Originally, the timepieces were produced in gold and bicolour versions and in steel, always with integrated bracelets. From the early days, Gent was all about awakening geometry and playing with quadratures and circles. The twelve-sided lunette has accompanied all five generations of the watch.The current version leans towards the sturdy 2007 version; gone is the original fine form from the mid-1970s.
