Classima

In the collection’s hierarchy the Classima range, also known as Classima Men, is classed below both the Clifton lines. That means that it has a more favourable price – even though it retains the quality and variety of its higher ranked counterparts. This range of Baume & Mercier watches is characterised by a round case, Roman numerals and subtle hands and indexes which are either gilded, made of blued steel or, simply, of silver to form a striking contrast with the black or blue dial.

These quintessentially elegant “suit watches”, shrewdly equipped with a chronograph and a metal bracelet, sometimes stray into the sporty realm and can, in some instances, even be worn with a pair of jeans and a casual jacket. However, those models featuring a date display or, as the case may be, a second time zone indicator or off-centre seconds hand are purely destined to be worn with suits. Most sophisticated of all is the Classima 10484, a timepiece boasting a chronograph and a complete calendar.

Something more…

The collection also includes quartz models that look identical to their mechanical counterparts in an exceptionally favourable price range. This makes them ideal stepping-stones for the young generation. Many watches in the collection feature a blank caseback into which you can have any engraving of your choice like, for example, the logo of your firm or your university’s coat of arms.

Collection highlight

Making for a flawless aesthetic are the collection’s dials in blue. The automatic Classima 10480 watch, featuring an off-centre seconds hand at 6, is just as popular as the handsome Classima 10482 flaunting a second time zone. You will be able to admire the intricate workings of the self-winding mechanism through the sapphire caseback. The 42 mm steel, gold or bicolour case will be fetching on a larger wrist while the 40-mm and 39-mm case sizes may find favour among people with more delicate wrists.
