Pilot's Watches

If you are into aviation and love flying, Pilot’s Watches are a clear choice. You won’t find many pilot’s watches that are as iconic as those made by IWC, renowned for sporting some of the most accurate movements. Moreover, these timepieces are instantly recognisable through their striking design which makes every aviation buff’s heart leap.

What makes the Big Pilot’s watch stand out is its sizeable conical crown – it needed to be sufficiently large for pilots to be able to set their watch even with their gloves on. The watch’s design codes – a black dial with contrasting luminescent hands and indexes at positions 3, 6 and 9 – have their origins in a 1936 model. Serving a truly practical purpose is the triangle with two dots at position 12 which helped pilots to easily discern the time at a fleeting glance.

Something more…

The Pilot's Watches collection brings many types of watches, which are divided into several sub-collections. In recent years, the Top Gun range with cases made of ceramic and other materials has been one of the most popular models (Performance Materials sub-collection). The Spitfire models, which have been paying tribute to the famous British aircraft since 2003, have also been a success. The Classic sub-collection, which includes the Spitfire and Mark, is also one of the most popular lines. The Antoine se Saint Exupéry sub-collection is a tribute to the Little Prince and his creator Antoine de Saint Exupéry.

Collection highlight

Pilot’s Watches are among the brand’s most desired timepieces. Even more sought-after are editions from this collection devoted to the children’s book character the Little Prince such as, for example, the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Edition „Le Petit Prince“. Placed in the watch’s steel 43 mm case is the robust in-house self-winding calibre 79320 chronograph movement which is shielded from the influence of magnetic fields by a soft-iron inner case. Creating a beautifully perfect harmony with the dial’s blue colour is the brown Santoni-leather strap. Lovingly engraved on the caseback is a depiction of the Little Prince himself wearing a cloak and brandishing a sword.
