Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin, the French king of shoemaking design, has fevered women in all continents with seductive, extremely high-heeled court shoes with a characteristic red sole for eighteen years already. Christian Louboutin, a Capricorn in the Zodiac calendar, was born in a working quarter of Paris. He was brought up by his mother and three sisters, and the female environment has been the inspiration for his work until now. Another strong influence from his childhood was a picture in the Museum of African Art. He often visited cabaret clubs and theatres. Impressed with the exotic world, he was only sixteen when he decided that he will develop shoes for dancers.   He found his first job in a famous Parisian cabaret named Folies Bergères. Two years later, he got a job at the factory owned by a renowned French shoemaker, Charles Jourdan, who was developing shoes connected with the brand name Christian Dior. This experience opened the door to collaborations with prestigious fashion houses such as Maud Frison, Chanel or Yves Saint Laurent.    In 1992 his friend told him about free rooms in a stylish Parisian shopping gallery called Vero-Dodat, situated very near the Louvre Museum. Together with two other friends, who became his business partners, they founded the brand Christian Louboutin.    It was Louboutin that brought stiletto heels back in the fashion world. His inimitable style of luxurious court shoes, on at least a twelve-centimetre-high heel, attracts those who search for femininity. The shoes are characterised by pure lines, perfectly developed details and shiny red soles, protected against plagiarism with a trademark. Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Kirsten Dunst, Gwyneth Paltrow and Cate Blanchett are only a few examples of the many actors and celebrities who have been seen in Louboutin court shoes. And it is not only Madonna, Tina Turner, Gwen Stefani, the Olsen sisters or Victoria Beckham who love them.     At present, the brand name Christian Louboutin is available in the Simple Concept Store.
